The acronym GPD in osmosis membranes indicates the daily production of osmotic water in gallons (Gallon Per Day):
- 1 gallon equals approximately 3.78 liters.
- A 50 GPD membrane produces about 189 liters per day of osmotic water.
The abbreviation TW indicates that the membrane was created for the treatment of drinking water (Tap Water).
In the name of the membranes, the diameter (to be multiplied by 0.1) and the total length (including the attachments) are indicated in inches:
- 1812: 1.8 inch (4.45 cm) indicates the diameter - 12 inch (29.8 cm) indicates the length
- 2012: 2.0 inch (4.82 cm) indicates the diameter - 12 inch (29.8 cm) indicates the length
- 2812: 2.8 inch (7.11 cm) indicates the diameter - 12 inch (29.8 cm) indicates the length
- 3012: 3.0 inch (7.62cm) indicates diameter - 12 inch (29.8cm) indicates length
- 3013: 3.0 inch (7.62 cm) indicates the diameter - 13 inch (32.8 cm) indicates the length
